There’s a lot of talk these days about Inversion Therapy used to treat back pain and other negative effects that gravity has on your body. If you sit at a desk all day, stand in place at work, do a lot of heavy lifting, etc, your body will most likely benefit from inversion therapy by helping the body recover from daily activities. Inversion Therapy is recognized by doctors, physical therapists and sports trainers to be a safe and effective way to relieve stress on the spine and weight bearing joints. Being that I have lower back problems and discovered at my last check up that I am actually getting shorter, I decided to do some research on what people are reporting about the benefits of hanging upside down.

One thing is for sure we are not alone in having back or joint problems. The chronic pain often experienced can reek havoc on your life. I remember when my back pain was at it’s worse, I couldn’t lift my feet to walk. My doctor treated me with epidurals, which only numbed the pain for a while. Today, my back is mostly stiff. It always feels like it needs to be stretched or straightened out.

So how is inversion therapy helping people with back and joint problems?
From what I have learned, most people are happy with the results they get from regular use of an inversion table. People are saying that Inversion Therapy reverses the way gravity has been negatively effecting their body. Ever feel like things are going south, so to speak? I can definitely relate. Simply put, Inversion Therapy puts gravity on your side by alining the body with the downward force of gravity. It elongates the spine, actual increasing the space between the vertebrae. It makes sense that this could relieve pressure on discs, which means less pain.
Have you ever noticed that being stressed out makes the pain and discomfort from aches and pains worse? Many customers report that using Inversion Therapy helps to calm and relax them after a hard day at work. Stress and tension can cause pain in the back, neck and shoulders, also headaches and other problems. Don’t you hate that awful neck and shoulder pain that is usually experienced after a day at the office. We don’t realize a lot of times, we’re tensed up while at work, driving, anticipating an up coming event, etc. I sometimes take notice that my shoulders have been tensed up for hours and when I try to relax, it only brings pain.

Customers who are regularly using inversion therapy say that even just a few minutes a day can help relax muscles, allowing for our body to flush out toxins, increase oxygen supplies so the pain and stiffness begins to disappear. They also say that posture is improved and some people report that they have regained their normal height, after their body started getting shorter. Stress and tension can cause muscle spasms in the back, neck and shoulders, as well as headaches and other problems. Tense muscles produce spasms and pain by reducing the supply of oxygen and by reducing blood and lymph flow, allowing the accumulation of waste chemicals in the muscles.

My research has found The Teeter hang Ups very popular among consumers in terms of quality and price.

Imagine how good it would feel to realign your body!

I have DDD..My right is shorter than my left due to a childhood accident..I have worked as a waitress for over 30 years..Three years ago my spine started to give me major problems..The PAIN was debilitating..Went to Chiro was told I needed a year of "adjustments" ..showed me x-rays of spine..I researched and realized that that this therapy was not going to replace the fluid between the disc..nor would the accupunture..which costs more..with same shortterm results..considered surgery..not an option..It was well over 2 years of seeing the commercials before I finally purchased my very own..WHY did I wait so long..

Inversion therapy Rules!!! I had back surgery in 04 and even after 22 months I was still sore, stiff and still had sciatica. I friend who had similar problems turned me onto inversion therapy and it really saved me. After just one session I could feel the knots and spasms begin to release in my abs, thighs, hips and lower back. What I discovered is once the abs muscles relax then they loosen their grip on back muscles and when that happens the pelvis and spine can go back into alignment naturally and stay there and the inflamed areas that were once rubbing on and irritating the sciatic nerve were now away from it and my sciatica went away.

Using pillows to help relieve core muscle tightness!!! Just checking back in. I've had a bad back for years and last night I learned something new about my back or rather I should say a new way to make my back feel better. Remembering that I think inversion therapy is the best thing since sliced bread and it works like a charm for me, sometimes while I'm in bed I can feel my hips and thighs kinda tighten up sometimes. Not all the time just sometimes. Now I usually sleep with a pillow under my legs because as I've said I've already had back surgery. It works fine most of the time but the other night, like sometimes happens like I said, my thighs tightened up while I was sleeping. I was tired and sure didn't want to get up, put on the gravity boots and get in a little hanging upside down time so in a moment of pure genius I put the leg pillow under my rump and what happened was I got enough of a little stretch across the tops of my thighs and it worked like a charm. So, inversion therapy and strategic pillow placement are my preachings this time. Comment provided January 8, 2009
