How to Get back Together After Breaking Up

If you recently experienced a break up, you may be frantically trying to think of ways to get back together. This is a common feeling for most of us, you are not alone.

Feeling emotionally depressed and wondering what to do, one mistake is calling your ex and begging them to take you back. This often backfires and only pushes them farther away.

A smart way to think things through is to do the opposite of what your feeling. Being motivated by feelings tends to only make things worse. 1 - Acceptance - Accept that the break up has happened and allow yourself time to put things in perspective. Let your ex know that your trying to adjust and move on. This will help reduce the stress and tension between you and let your ex know that your not sitting at home crying. Your ex will also have time to think and adjust as well.

2 - Don’t Contact your Ex - For now, stop calling or having contact with your ex. Consider this is time for you to think about your options. By not communicating, your ex will notice that your trying to move on and doing just fine.

Most of us have been in relationships where the other person smothers us with their emotions and this tends to push us away. So, if you let your ex see that your adjusting, they will be more apt to see you in a positive light and remember why they connected with you in the first place.

3 - Make a Plan to Get Together - After sticking to the first two steps, you’ll have given yourself time to think about when and where to meet and what to say. You’ll be in better control over your thoughts and emotions, and get a better idea of whether or not getting back together is a possibility.
